Now’™s not a time to weep
Just because it’™s time to sleep
Farewells are hard
when one’™s loved a love that true
to countless times ‘“ them and you
and if, for all that, I’™m bound to choose
one of all those things I must now loose
I’™ll choose a simple leaf that’™s lived
And gave of all it had to give

‘ Tale of a Fallen Leaf

Brittle yet as of gold
I’™ve lived a life both bright and bold ‘“
see how the nights are turning cold –
just a fallen leaf?
A bud upon a twig – sweet green
One of a thousand ‘“ was’™t a dream?
moved by an embracing sun’™s warm beam
how bright the stars did shine
All helped our Mother be
as beauteous as any tree
with honey for a hungry bee –
all a song so rare
Yet all things earthly have their time
And now, with my memories of prime
‘ In your palm proudly speak my rhyme
For both of us to share.
